A natural minimalist wedding - Joanna

I am in love with the whole theme and feel of Joanna’s wedding and the photos she sent over, they capture such a free spirited elopement style wedding that encapsulates The Boho Bride so well. The general vibe / inspiration for the day was minimalist with a sharp focus on the details. Joanna told us that ‘my accessories played a big part in my look because my dress was so simple.’ And our frill veil did just that!

There was a natural theme to the whole wedding with real pressed flowers from the couples garden covering the signs and name places and dried garden rose petals for the confetti.

I asked Joanna if there was anything in the lead up to her big day that she was particularly worried about and it makes me so sad to hear that she had a lot of issues with her dress. She said ‘it was actually in two pieces just two days before the wedding!! But it all worked out in the end and even if it didn't I don't think anyone would have noticed anyway!'  It seems to be a running theme of my real bride blog posts that those worries that seem like the most important thing in the lead up to your big day are really not that important when it comes down to it. The time spent with your new husband and all of the people you love the most far outweighs anything else.

And Joanna’s answer to my next question proves just that. When asked about her favourite part of the day she said: ‘the time I spent with my partner on the beach for our couple photographs. The day flew by so quickly so it was amazing to have that time together.’ I think this is so special and such important advice for brides to be to take time some out of their day to just be, as a couple, and soak up the day you've spent so long planning.

Joanna wore our chapel length ivory frill veil.

Finally, I asked Joanna how she found her experience with The Boho Bride, she kindly responded with : ‘Kezia was honestly amazing. She was so communicative and made me feel at ease. She helped me with queries on length and my veil was just so perfect and exactly what I was looking for.’

Thank you Joanna, and thank you for allowing me to be a tiny part of your big day.
